Warning to Customers about new Domain Name Scam

HostSellers wishes to advise our customers of an old domain name scam with a new look.

Most of the scam Emails sent these days are not actually selling you domain name renewal or registration services. They actually are offering you SEO (Search Engine Optimization) services but they make the Email look like your domain name registration is about to expire.

You can spot these scams easily by reading the solicitation and fine print and spotting the mention of SEO or, as in the example below, the following words: "We do not register or renew domain names."

Here is a sample of this new look on an old scam:

Your domain XXXXXXXXX.com registration is pending. Failure to complete this order by 02/20/2018 may result in the cancellation of this solicitation (making it difficult for your customers to locate you, using search engines on the web). We do not register or renew domain names.

We wish to remind our customers to always be cautious when receiving invoices for domain name services. If in doubt, please do not hesitate to contact us.
